Before You Book a Camera

Before you book a camera, please send a ticket/email to the Learning Center to discuss what you will need the camera for. Based on the discussion, the Learning Center team can provide a more tailored solution for what you need.

Each camera will come with a set lens unless you discuss with the Learning Center staff.

Lens we have available:

Zoom Lens

Lumix 12-35mm – More Information

Olympus 14-42mm – More Information

Lumix 14-45mm – More Information

These are multi-purpose lenses. They are good in a many situations, including interviews, group shots, demos, and situations where the camera is moving.

Portrait Lenses

Olympus 45mm Prime – More Information

Panasonic 42.5mm Prime – More Information

These lenses are ideal for interviews or portraits. They also work well in low-light situations and where the camera is stationary. Because of the lack of Zoom, and their shallow depth of field, they can be a challenge to operate if your subject is moving around.

Telephoto Lenses

Lumix 45-200mm Telephoto – More Information

Lumix 100-300mm Telephoto – More Information

Telephoto lenses are great when your subject is far away and you wish to zoom in. It works well for wildlife, at events or other situations where getting close to your subject is tricky. They work best in bright situations.

Macro Lens

Lumix 30mm Macro – More Information

Macro lenses are made for close-ups. They’re excellent for photographing plants or specimens, and any time tiny details are important.
