UBC faculty, staff, and students can be nominated a wide variety of internal and external awards that recognize their hard work and efforts. | OER (Open Educational Resource) Champions | An open education champion is an individual who has made a significant contribution to the use of open educational resources (OER) at UBC Vancouver – this award recognizes the faculty, staff, and administrators who dedicate their time to fostering accessible education at UBC. | Submission by January 15, 2026 |
| BC Teaching & Learning Council, West Coast Teaching Excellence Awards | The West Coast Teaching Excellence Award celebrates excellence in teaching in publicly-funded colleges, institutes, and universities of British Columbia and the Yukon. | UBC Internal Nomination by November 28, 2026 |
| NACTA Distinguished Educator Award | The NACTA Distinguished Educator Award recognizes meritorious service to NACTA and to higher education through teaching, educational research, and/or administration. | 2025 Nominations Closed |
| NACTA Teaching Excellence Award | The NACTA Teaching Excellence Award recognizes individuals whose efforts represent the very best in agricultural higher education. This award is a criterion-based award and is reviewed by a committee of NACTA members. | Nomination deadline: January 15, 2026 |
| 3M National Teaching Fellowship | The 3M National Teaching Fellowship is Canada’s most prestigious recognition of excellence in educational leadership and teaching at the post-secondary level. | 2026 Nomination – TBD |
