While designing your surveys, keep the following points in mind to maximize your survey participation:
- Try to keep the surveys as focused and short as possible. If the required survey is long, incentivize participation in the survey (for e.g. with a gift card)
- Ask direct questions and eliminate ambiguity in your surveys. Use branching logic to skip through irrelevant questions and shorten the survey for some participants.
- Avoid sending out surveys too frequently to reduce survey fatigue. A general rule would be to send out at intervals of 2 interactions or more (if it is a weekly class, survey students with a gap of at least 2 weeks).
