After feedback from the attendees regarding the Zoom registrations and their issues to get into the meeting, we have updated the registration by making it shorter and tested it in different modes to check how the issues of recurring registration pop-ups while signing in can be eliminated:
- If you have registered for the meeting, you will receive a confirmation email from ‘Cyprien Lomas’ on Thursday evening or Friday morning for your Zoom invite for the session. This invite has a “Click to join” option for joining the meeting. The other option is to use the iCal link and adding it to your Outlook Calendar (see point 2).
- Zoom has updated their iCal file for the registration in update 5.3. The earlier issues where you were redirected to the registration page before logging in have been fixed by Zoom. The link for the Lunch & Learn series can be seen in the “location” for the meeting. Update your Outlook Calendar with the new ical files to reflect these changes.
- While joining the meeting, ensure that the meeting doesn’t open in the browser. Zoom registrations does not support the browser platform well and this can lead to issues while joining.
- Try joining the Lunch & Learn series from your Zoom desktop app as far as possible. This method does not lead to registration link pop-ups and will allow you to join seamlessly. Ensure that you are signed in from your desktop application for your registration information to be reflected.
