Lunch & Learn Series: Canvas Mastery Paths with Adrian Granchelli and Patricia Hingston

November 30, 2020

This session was held on Friday, December 4th, 2020 at noon.

Add a more personalized learning path to your course:  With Canvas Mastery Paths, you can allow for different instruction based upon how a student performs on an assignment. This can increase student choice and meet learners where they are. We will learn how-to implement mastery paths and discuss how it could be used.

Explore gamification: Mastery Paths can also be used to gate assignments – used in this way students can repeat a quiz a until they perfect it and only then are they allowed to progress to the next assignment.  Patricia will share her experience in utilizing Mastery Paths in this way.

Come explore the Canvas Mastery Paths and the ways in which it can help you with your course.

Post-Event Notes:

Mastery paths in Canvas allow for multiple learning paths through the use of conditionally released content

There are many uses for Mastery Paths such as personalized learning, gamification, and/or increasing/decreasing a student’s workload.
