Note regarding expanded service

The last several weeks have been an unprecedented time for us. While September is typically the busiest time of the year for us in the LFS Learning Centre, this year has seen an increase in requests. Based on service tickets, we have had twice as many requests in 2020 as we did last year at this time.    

The staff of the LFS Learning Centre is here to help you make your term a success. After a review of our processes, I wanted to let our users know that we are piloting a 2-week expanded service:  

  1. Turnaround time:  We are experiencing a busy time but are working hard to respond to your ticket within one business day. For complex issues, it will take more time to resolve and we will give an idea of when it can be resolved.  
  2. After hours support: Learning Centre regular hours are Monday to Friday 9-5 but staff can be available for technical support for those irregular after-hours events.  If you would like  LFSLC staff to be on hand for your midterm, i-clicker quiz or guest speaker please let us know .
