Did you know that the UBC Duo authenticator can be used as two factor authentication (2FA) for non UBC sites?
2FA adds a second level of security when accessing a site that supports its use. This means that anyone who might have access to your login credentials must also have your 2FA device (your mobile phone or hardware token) during login.
Most social media sites, Google and Microsoft email, financial and investment service sites support 2FA.
