This session will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021 at noon. Sandra Brown (Asst. Professor of Teaching, LFS) will be our guest presenter for this week.
With increasing class size and student diversity, providing personalized feedback to students can be a challenge. Yet we know from nudge theory that if we provide our students with information and suggestions that they can make better informed decisions about their learning. OnTask is a learning analytics tool which allows us to give personalized feedback to students at scale.
During this Lunch & Learn session, Sandra will give a brief overview of OnTask based on her experience using this tool; show preliminary student feedback; and run the software so that participants get a first-hand appreciation of how we can use student achievement data (e.g., grades Canvas) to develop personalize messages for all students in a course.
